Four types of events at the time of COVID-19
- Monday 24 August 2020

Especially now it is important to keep in touch with your employees, customers or relations. Pay extra attention to connecting, motivating and/or rewarding. Because of COVID-19 a physical event is not always possible anymore, but fortunately there are plenty of other forms of events to organize. This period is in fact the perfect time to organize and try out another creative event or congress. Because who knows, maybe this will be the future! Our Project Managers are ready to put together a new menu for you with beautiful ingredients. Your business content is central to this, but can also be complemented with interactive breaks that are both physically and online possible. We will explain the different forms.
Spacious location
Should it be necessary for a meeting to take place on location, it is best to have it in a large room. In this way, the chairs can be placed 1.5 metres apart from each other in advance. By indicating walking routes, visitors are prevented from getting too close to each other or from accidentally coming into contact with each other. It is also necessary to place handrails in several places and to offer several possibilities for visitors to wash their hands. Our Project Managers take care of all this and in this way a meeting can easily be realised according to the RIVM guidelines. Incidentally, we advise you to share the house rules with your participants beforehand. This way they are fully informed and you can only spend the time at your event on ‘useful’ matters.
Online event
Would you like to contact your customers or partners but a physical meeting is not necessary? Then an online version is a good solution! This can be an interactive webinar or a livestream with online viewing. This way you keep your customers or partners involved in your organization or product. When setting up a webinar or livesteam, there are plenty of creative online opportunities for a good break at your event. Think for example of an online quiz or bingo. But also a joint online coffee moment, with the products from the goodiebox that you sent to your guests in advance by mail. Our Project Managers take care of the entire organisation from A to Z.
Hybrid events
It is also possible that during your event not all your guests can be physically present, because it is not possible to travel internationally. Or because there is only limited space at the location. Then you can also offer your event online with a live broadcast. We call this the hybrid model, a combination of a physical and an online event. You don’t have to think in terms of limitations, because a lot is also possible online, such as interaction with roundtables and discussion groups. A larger range is guaranteed with this combined event anyway.
Drive-in congress
Something completely different is a drive-in congress where visitors can follow the congress from their own car on a large outdoor screen. In this way the one and a half meter distance is guaranteed and everyone can follow the congress via a radio channel or an app. With a smart app it is also possible to create interaction. In this way the congress can be adapted to your own goal and wishes. There are many variations possible, such as adding a catering package or giving a suitable gadget. Your wishes will be taken into account by our team.
Can’t wait any longer for your own meeting, event or congress? Please contact the Corporate Events Team and they will be happy to help you serve top quality.
