First TMC with ISO 27701
- Tuesday 16 February 2021

The need for protection and assurance of personal information continues to increase. European privacy directives, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), require companies to anticipate this. In addition, ISO certifications provide assurance that set quality standards are being met.
Information Security
Since 2018, all VCK Travel offices have been ISO 27001 certified, which means that for over the past 2.5 years we have met the most up-to-date standard for information security. At that time, we were the first Travel Management Company in the Netherlands to achieve ISO 27001 certification for the entire organisation.
Privacy
To help companies manage privacy risks, the 2019 international privacy standard ISO 27701 was created. An addition to ISO 27001. This complies with the correct management of personally identifiable information and raises the standard in complying with privacy laws.
First again
Over the past weeks, auditor DNV GL has tested VCK Travel’s departments and offices against the additional requirements of ISO 27701. With the result that we are now approved and are now GDPR-proof. We can now add the international privacy standard ISO 27701 to our existing ISO 27001 certification. Once again we are the first Dutch Travel Management Company with this standard! Something we at VCK Travel are very proud of.
