Bologna is the birthplace of tagliatelle, lasagne, tortellini, Parma ham, balsamic vinegar, Lambrusco and many more delicious products. The gastronomic tradition of the city goes back to Roman times. On arrival, you go on a walking tour and get to know the wonderful medieval city centre with its elegant arcades and coloured facades. You call in at various small traditional gastronomic shops and get a taste of what is on offer. You will then enjoy a delightful lunch. A passionate chef will conjure up classical dishes with ingredients he bought at the local market that same morning.
On the second day, you take a picturesque tour of the environment on a Vespa scooter. Along the way, you will stop for an aromatic espresso to be followed by a tour of a well-known ice-cream factory. Here you will take part in an ice-cream-making workshop. Together you will develop a unique new flavour. Who knows, the owner of the factory may put your new flavour on the market!
For the evening, we have rented a beautiful old villa, exclusively for you. If the weather is good, you will enjoy an aperitif of delicious small dishes on the patio to be followed by an excellent dinner.
The next morning, the theme will be speed. You will visit the Ferrari museum ‘Maranello’! In the museum, you will find an impressive collection of cars, engine blocks, historic photos, posters and lots more. Of course, you will be given a chance to go for a drive in one of these red beauties. You will have a great story to tell at your next party!
For lunch you will be invited to the home of an Italian family. An original and special experience! You will enjoy a pure, wholesome meal prepared with love by ‘la mamma’. It will be a casual, informal lunch. Success guaranteed!
