Saturday 17 March 2018: Ngurah Rai International Airport will be closed
Due to the celebration of the Balinese New Year, Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar will be closed all day on Saturday 17 March 2018.
During this day with the name Nyepi Day (the day of silence), the daily life on Bali will come to a standstill and it is not allowed to work or travel on the island. It is also customary not to turn on the lights, or to do as little as possible and not to walk in the street or to visit the beach. Although tourists are exempt from all restrictions, out of respect for the Hindustani inhabitants they are advised to spend this day in the hotel. For assistance in (re)booking your ticket please contact our Travel Consultants. They are available 24×7.
