Restaurant in the sky

Lufthansa is planning to offer its Business Class passengers a true restaurant experience by serving food and drink directly from the galley. Just like in a restaurant, passengers receive a personal welcome and make their choice from a menu. Tables will be laid in restaurant style, and trolleys will be replaced by serving trays.

The new concept has been tested in the past few months on flights to New York and Johannesburg. Response has been positive, so the concept will now also be rolled out to other routes, such as to Houston, Los Angeles and Singapore.
