Opening of Blue Restaurant in KLM Crown Lounge at Schiphol
- Tuesday 23 April 2019

In the new KLM Crown Lounge, the Blue Restaurant is now partially operational. Under the supervision of chef Joris Bijdendijk, known for the Michelin-star restaurant RIJKS, travellers will be able to enjoy their meal in a variety of settings.
On Monday 6 May, the Blue Restaurant will open in all its glory. Business travellers will be welcome for all their meals, from breakfast to an à la carte dinner. There are various table options: intimate dining tables, a place near the open kitchen, on the patio with a view of the runways, or in the private dining rooms. Blue does not just offer a multi-faceted restaurant, but also a brand-new bar. Here you can enjoy exclusive cocktails. With a choice of more than three hundred drinks, there will be something to suit everyone’s taste.
The first part of the KLM Crown Lounge was opened on 12 December 2018. Thanks to the impressive entrance at Holland Boulevard, the lounge is easy to find for business travellers. The lounge, enhanced by the latest technologies and innovations, centres around the ultimate customer experience, combined with new service and catering concepts and a new interior. The second part of the lounge, which includes the Blue Restaurant, will be opened in a festive ceremony in the summer of 2019, as part of KLM’s 100th anniversary celebrations.
