New security control at Schiphol Airport

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has recently renewed its security control set-up in Departure Hall 1. At the new security checkpoint, three travellers can place their belongings in a tray near the scanner at the same time. Whoever is ready first can move on through the metal detector. The new design makes security control both more efficient and more comfortable.

Schiphol Airport aims to get the time travellers need to pass through security down to a maximum of ten minutes for economy class travellers and five minutes for Premium travellers. This new security control will be implemented throughout the entire airport. The project is expected to be completed in June 2015.
