New destination for old dome Aviodome
- Tuesday 12 June 2018

The old dome of the Aviodome Aviation museum will be given a new destination. The prominent dome stood at Schiphol Airport until 2003 and had the title 'largest dome' in the world for 24 years since its construction in 1971.
After the relocation of the Aviodome to Lelystad Airport, the dome was demolished in 2004 and stored in sea containers. Now, after 14 years, the dome will be restored and rebuilt along the A5 motorway in Amsterdam-West. From November of this year, the dome with the name Aviodome will be reopened as a location for exhibitions, congresses and events.
