Longer waiting times at security check Rotterdam and Eindhoven Airport

Today, Thursday 17 August and tomorrow, Friday 18 August 2017, the Royal Marechaussee (KMAR), carries out punctuality actions at Rotterdam The Hague Airport and Eindhoven Airport.

During these actions, the Marechaussee performs extensive passport checks, which strictly comply with the Dutch laws and regulations. These extinsive checks can create additional waiting times at the passport controls. With these actions, the KMAR hopes to get a new cao. Since April 2017, the Dutch Ministry of Defense has consulted with the representatives of the Marechaussee about a new cao. The passengers at the passport checks are informed about the situation, and receive leaflets with additional information. Currently there are no delays reported at the passport checks. At this moment the KMAR does not have any interest in extending the actions to Schiphol Airport.
