Singapore Airlines – A great way to fly
Singapore Airlines’ first aircraft landed at Schiphol Airport in 1973. Today, the airline offers a daily morning flight from Amsterdam to Singapore on the modern Airbus A350. This type of aircraft is also used four times a week (on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) from Düsseldorf to Singapore. The flights from both Amsterdam and Düsseldorf connect well with onward flights in Singapore to destinations in Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The return flights from Singapore to Amsterdam and Düsseldorf depart around midnight.
Singapore Airlines’ Airbus A350 has a business class, premium economy class and economy class. In 2019, Skytrax declared Singapore Airlines’ cabin crew ‘Best Cabin Crew’. In all travel classes, Krisworld, Singapore Airlines’ in-flight entertainment system, offers more than 1,000 on-demand entertainment options, including films, TV shows, documentaries, games and language courses. LCD screens and video touch screen handsets are available to all passengers on board the Airbus A350.
Book the Cook
Business travellers travelling business class and premium economy class can, in addition to the meals served on board, also use the Book the Cook programme. This programme offers a choice of special dishes, to be booked up to 24 hours prior to departure. These meals are specially prepared and served on board instead of those on the menu.
