British Airways introduces new routes

British Airways launched new routes on long- and medium-haul distances starting from 2019. The airlines introduces new routes to many destinations in the US, Durban, Osaka, Montevideo, Quito and Rio de Janeiro. Ideal for business travellers booking through VCK Travel.

From April 2019, British Airways will raise the frequency between London Heathrow and Nashville, from four times a week to daily. From April 2019 a new service between Pittsburgh from London Heathrow will be launched. Business travellers can choose from four departures a week, and the launch marks the first direct route between London and the Pennsylvanian city. Africa will be upgraded with a new route to Durban. Osaka will be served four times a week, which increases the number of daily flights between London and Japan to 32 per week due to their Joined Business.

Charleston will be served from the 31st of March 2019. The twice weekly service will initially operate between April 4 and October 24, 2019 on Thursdays and Sundays, using a 787-8 Dreamliner. The new route will take the number of US destinations British Airways fly to from London next summer up to 29.

Iberia is also expanding its flights to the United States and South America. From July 2019, capacity will be increased with flights to Montevideo, Quito and Rio de Janeiro. The airline will fly 10 times a week to Lima in July and August next year. The Spanish airline has also announced plans to fly its new Airbus A350s to Buenos Aires and to Chicago.
